Mt. Miyanoura to Jyomonsugi backcountry camping
On the first day, climbing up to the highest peak of Yakushima. Enjoy the superb view overlooking highest peaks of Kyushu and the transition of the forest due to the timberline and Yakushima’s famous vertical distribution. On the second day, walk through the ancient forest to appreciate Jomon Sugi and other Yakusugi trees. You can get a glimpse of the relationship between Yakusugi and the people of the island as well.
